Foxtail bio

He wasn't always the cat as he is now. Foxtail was different back then. The traits he always had was his ill temper, enthusiasm, memory and his kind heart. When Foxtail was just a kit he had a typical kithood with a loving family. He had two brothers and one sister. Duskkit, a pale ginger tom with amber eyes. Littlekit, dark tabby and white tom with unusual dark blue eyes and last was his sister Lilykit, a cream colored she-cat with one white paw and green eyes. Foxtail's parents were his mother Shadefall, a brown tabby she-cat with unusual dark blue eyes and his father Flamefur, a bright ginger tom with white paws and chest as well as green eyes.

Foxtail was always a trouble maker as a kit, he got into trouble more than anyone could count. Like invading the medicine cat's herb stock, trying to sneak out of camp, sneaking into other cats' dens and playing jokes on other warriors just for the fun of it. If that wasn't bad enough he got his littermates to join him. When he became an apprentice, Duskpaw got Jaysong - bluish grey she-cat with green eyes - as his mentor. Lilypaw got Blackear - light grey tom with one black ear - as her mentor. Also Littlepaw got Stoneblaze - black tom with amber eyes - as his mentor. When it was Foxtail's turn his mentor was Loudstar, the ShadowClan leader of all cats.

At the beginning of Foxtail's apprenticeship he has done nothing but look after the elders. For several days he has done no actual training to become a warrior. When finally Loudstar took him out to show him around the territory they had a talk. Loudstar explained to Foxpaw that she wanted him to get to know more about the Clan and bond with it. She explained that a warrior is more than just a fighter and a hunter. That loyalty is crucial and the more that warrior cares about his Clan and the cats in it the stronger the loyalty and stronger he fights. At first Foxpaw couldn't understand what she meant.

After that night Foxpaw trained hard to become a warrior, taking the advise Stoneblaze gave Littlepaw about finding his own battle style. Day and night Foxpaw worked, looking after the elders without complaint and working so hard that he would go right to sleep when he goes in his nest. He socializes with his Clan as well, getting to know them and making them his friends, even his rival Beechpaw. After his first moon Foxpaw went into his first battle, defending the territory.

ShadowClan fought and won. Foxpaw saw his mentor and Clan leader lose a life. It was from that fight be decided to protect his Clan against anything, no matter what the cost was or if it was right or wrong. After a moon passed Duskpaw fell off a tree from a dare on climbing to the top. Foxpaw never forgave Beechpaw who dared his brother and had called him a coward because Duskpaw didn't really want to. Because of the fall Duskpaw broke his hind leg and it healed wrong. He was still able to move around, hunt and fight for Clan even with the limp.

Several moons passed and Foxpaw was almost done his apprenticeship. He actually went right passed the other apprentices because he worked so hard and learned quickly. Foxtail became a warrior after he fought a fox. That day he was out with his sister and brother. They found one of the kits had sneaked out of camp and that's when the fox attacked. The three fought hard but it was too strong, then Lilypaw's paw got caught and stuck into the earth and couldn't escape. The fox had went after her, Littlepaw tried to drive it off but got knocked into a tree instead. To save his littermates and the kit Foxpaw lured the fox away, getting it to chase him all the way to the thunderpath. As he emerged to the path the fox managed to catch him and slashed at Foxpaw's side, leaving a permanent scar that is so visible to this day. By the hit Foxpaw rolled onto the thunderpath and the fox ran after him. When Foxpaw got to his paws to run to the other side a monster came and hit the fox, missing Foxpaw by a hair-length.

After that day Loudstar named Foxpaw Foxtail. A name that totally fits him since his tail looks very much like a fox's. Even though Foxtail was happy that he became a warrior he was sad that Lilyheart, was dying. Even though Littlepaw and Foxtail did their best to try and protect her the fox ravished her as she just wouldn't allow it to take that kit. Loudstar honored her by naming her Lilyheart as she laid there dying. She told Foxtail that even though it was most likely she won't make it that she earned her warrior name and rank for her loyalty and courage. Lilyheart didn't make it and Foxtail hated himself that he couldn't have saved his sister. Through being a warrior Foxtail worked harder than ever so Lilyheart wouldn't be sad.

For several moons Foxtail hunted and defended his Clan as a warrior. Cats quickly respected Foxtail for his tactical skills. Because of him ShadowClan was able to put up several ideas and solutions to problems. It wasn't long that Loudstar added him to sit with him and that and discuss things along with her senior warriors. Foxtail loved it and worked even harder for his Clan that he loved so much. He became even closer to Loudstar, becoming good friends with her as they joined into hunts and patrols together. Foxtail joined several patrols and hunts with his brother Littlefang.

Loudstar finally gave Foxtail his first apprentice, Mossypaw, light brown tabby she-cat with light blue eyes. Foxtail taught her what his mentor taught him and the advice he got from Stoneblaze who died in one of the battles defending his Clan. He taught her several ShadowClan battle moves and showed her his own battle moves to prove a point to her. Through the moons the bond between his apprentice became strong, just like his bond with his mentor.

One day Foxtail went out hunting near the border that leads to the Highstones. He warded off a rogue she-cat that was white as snow with only a black tip tail and long ears. She was shocked of Foxtail and called him Fox as if that was his name. He told her it was Foxtail. Flamefur and his patrol came and noticed the rogue, he was horror stricken and warded the rogue away. When the two toms were alone Flamefur finally explained to Foxtail that he fell in love with a rogue, the one that they just warded off and that her name was Mooky. He explained that she is Foxtail's mother, not Shadefall's. That Mooky had planned on even joining ShadowClan and be with him forever. Yet she left Foxtail when he was just a newborn and left him at the border. Flamefur had witnessed what she did but she left without telling him why, only telling him that the kit's name was Fox. She left before Flamefur could say anything and he never saw her again till now.

Foxtail felt betrayed but kept it a secret, even from Littlefang. He never spoke to Flamefur, hating him for keeping it from him and confused when he thought that he is only half ShadowClan.

A terrible battle took place when Leaftalon attacked ShadowClan with his band of rogues. Foxtail fought hard to protect his Clanmates. Eventually ShadowClan won the battle, with Leaftalon dead. Because of her courage Mossypaw became a warrior after that battle and was named Mossycloud. Though Foxtail was proud and happy for his former apprentice he grieved for his mother's death, Shadefall. To make matters worse, Flamefur was severely wounded and lay dying. The medicine cat did the best possible to heal the warrior but his wounds got worse by the hour. Foxtail had refused to speak to his father when he laid dying. It was Mossycloud who convinced him to see his father but sadly before Foxtail entered the medicine cat's den his father passed away. Ever since that day Foxtail regretted not seeing his father sooner, to tell him he forgave him and loved him.

In leafbare, Loudstar lost her final life of old age and Rosestar became the new leader. Not long after she became leader sickness hit in the Clan. Foxtail did his best to calm his friends and worked all the harder to hunt and protect the borders. One of the cats that died from the sickness was Littlefang and Foxtail's second apprentice, Amberpaw. Through all the loss in Foxtail's life he refused to lower his head and kept moving forward.
